A Small Biography on Andrew Uronu
by the Managing Director of African Travel Review
Born in the heart of Tanzania on the slopes of Kilimanjaro,
Africa's tallest mountain and its surrounding wilderness has
played a major part in Andrew's life ever since!

After obtaining a diploma in accountancy and
working as an accountant for a number of years Andrew decided to
follow his heart and change his career direction completely,
enrolling in Tanzania's Wildlife College. Since then he has
never looked back!
After successfully completing his course Andrew launched his
career as a safari guide leading groups all over Tanzania as
well as Kenya. 15 years later he has gained a reputation as a
conscientious, professional and talented guide who mixes easily
with people from
all walks of life. He believes strongly in the principles and
philosophy behind guiding, which to Andrew means providing
education on the natural and cultural recourses, protection and
conservation of the environment to a new level of understanding.
In addition to his knowledge in East Africa's flora & fauna
Andrew's key interests include ornithology and etymology.
He has accompanied groups from one to fourteen people as well as
special photographic, geographic and cultural expeditions – both
on foot and in specialized safari four wheel drive vehicles.
Keen to share his knowledge, passion and pride in Tanzania's
nature and wildlife his enthusiasm is infectious. His caring
attitude and flexibility are additional factors in assuring many
visitors an unforgettable safari experience. 50% of Andrew's
safari groups are repeat clients, often returning for the third
and fourth time.
With thanks to Jim Wilson F.R.P.S for wildlife pictures.
It's my pleasure to have been Jim's guide for the last 10 years. |
