Day 1: Drive to Mto Simba where walking will start in one hour, dinner and overnight at Shira II Campsite (3800m).
Day 2: This is acclimatization day, here you will observe Shira plateau and Shira valleys. Have dinner and overnight Shira II Campsite.
Day 3: After breakfast trek to the Moir hut (about 4200m) for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: After breakfast slowly ascend from Moir hut to Lava Tower.
Day 5: You will continue to trek and descend to Baranco hut (3990m).
Day 6: After breakfast proceed with the trek to the great Baranco valley and up to Baranco wall then to Karanga valley (about 4200m) for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: From Karanga Valley (the end of water source Karanga River) proceed to Barafu hut (4600m) for dinner and overnight where you will have excellent views of Kibo dome & Mawenzi peak.
Day 8: Around midnight starts to conquer the highest point of Africa. This section of the route is very steep and considered the steepest on the non-technical path on this mountain between 4 - hrs to the peak (5896m), which is one hour from Stella point (5700m). You will then descend down to Mweka hut (3800m) for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: This is the easiest day walking to the Mweka gate where there will be a car waiting for transfer to Arusha or Moshi.
Day 11: Depart for the gate and start walking through the mountain forest to Machame hut (about 3000m) for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: After breakfast slowly trek the path leading up through the steep rocky and enjoy superb views of Shira Plateau and land below. You will also see Mt. Meru another exiting volcano on the southwestern direction. Have dinner and overnight at Shira Hut (3840m).
Day 13: Depart Shira in the morning taking the path, which rises up, gradually towards the Kibo dome. On reaching the wedge Buttress point the path drop down to the Baranco Hut for dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Depart slowly crossing the floor of the great Baranco Valley and up to the Baranco wall. You will continue with the trek on the South Circuit path through the Karanga Valley. (Last water point - Karanga River) then slowly trek to Barafu Hut (4600m). From Barafu you will have excellent views of Kibo dome and Mawenzi peak, dinner and overnight at Barafu hut.
Day 15: Early mid night start to conquer the highest point in Africa. This section of the route is very steep and is considered the steepest on the non technical path on this mountain between 4 - 7 hours to the peak (5896m) whereby is one hours from Stella point (5700m). Then descend down to Mweka hut for dinner and overnight.
Day 16: This is the easiest day walking to Mweka gate where you will meet the car waiting to transfer you to your hotel.
